Forwarding while watching live TV stutters

Hi,

In Beyond TV 4.8.1 - if you are watching live TV and you attempt to fast forward - the picture stutters a little bit and then continues. It displays "Live TV" in the seek bar so I can see that there is no more forward buffer to seek.

Is it possible to get rid of this stutter? It is really annoying. It seems to me that Beyond TV must know when it is displaying Live TV and then the Forward should not do anything with the picture and simply just update/show the seek bar with "Live TV" in it.

thanks,
Osho

Re: Forwarding while watching live TV stutters

I'm not sure if you are talking a very brief stutter or a full on freeze. By nature, a live recording using MPEG2 require a buffer. You aren't watching a "live stream" unless it is a transport stream.

Re: Forwarding while watching live TV stutters

I am talking about a very brief stutter. It goes away after 2 seconds. But, if BeyondTV is playing live tv - it should just ignore the need to do forward and not stutter.

Re: Forwarding while watching live TV stutters

You might want to open a trouble ticket then. I know on my setup, I have maybe a half sec stutter.
