HVR950/HVR1600 2 Tuners?

I currently use a PVR250 to record SD from my StarChoice satelite receiver. I would like to start playing with OTA HD, and was considering replacing the PVR250 with an HVR950 or HVR1600. These cards are marketed as having both an analog and an ATSC tuner. Can Snapstream address these as 2 tuners? Can I simultaneously record an ATSC signal and analog fron the satelite? Can I at least maintain 2 channel line-ups and have BTV use the right tuner for each?

The HVR-950 is a hybrid card. It can either be recording analog or ATSC at one point in time, but not both.

The HVR-1600 is a true dual tuner. It can simultaneously record analog and ATSC.

Re: HVR950/HVR1600 2 Tuners?

I guess I could just install the 950 with the 250 if I want to record both...

Is there any disadvantage, in terms of Picture Quality or system requirements when using the 950 vs the 1600? Is it all the same because either way you are just capturing the stream?
