Video and Audio don't work

I had Beyond TV 4.8.1 working on my PC but had problems with ShowSqueeze, and it was recommended that I uninstall and then re-install it, which I did. Before doing this, I wrote down all my settings. In the Setup Wizard, I selected Video Tuner, as I had before, with Ch 4 as before (and verified) and now there's no video or audio. These are the same settings I had before, why doesn't it work?

I tried running WinTV2000 that came with my WinTV PVR PCI II Capture card and viola, there's video and audio.

I tried rebooting, no luck.

I tried running with S-video, no luck.

Any ideas? Thanks...

I had a case once where I tore down my system and changed some hardware. I then ran through the setup wizard to make sure everything was setup correctly. I never could get audio or video in the setup wizard, but I knew my system was set up correctly. I finally just tried using the program and it worked. Just thought I would mention this. This happened in an earlier release and it was fixed for me, but maybe your particular config is causing an issue with the setup wizard.


Can't really think of anything else at the moment, but maybe if you listed your system specs, there might be something that jumps out at someone.

Also this would be better placed in the trouble shooting forum.

What terminal said. Just carry on through the set up wizard as if audio and video worked. Y ou might be pleasantly suprised that BTV works. Other than that, I would do a reinstallation of BTV.

Yup, you guys were right. It didn't work in the setup wizard, but it worked in the program. Weird, but ok...
