WMV Playback Problem (Pause/Resume)

When I play Windows Media (WMV) files on BTV, that are not recorded by BTV, and I pause them, the video will not continue to play after resuming a pause. But the audio will continue where it left off.

I did a search on the forums here but didn't find any similar references.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions to a solution?

Usually if that happens, there is some video issue with the WMV file. VLC will correct those if you open up them up first in VLC...it will ask to repair the file.

Thanks for the replay mayhem70. The thing is I have a few video podcasts I playback on BTV that are consistently having this problem. I wouldn't think that ever show these podcasters produce would have an error in the file that needs correcting. I was assuming it's a playback issue with BTV if the same shows have this problem every day.

My only solution so far is to always find the mpg or mp4 version of these shows so they can be played back on BTV. I've had this pause/resume problem happen consistently with several video podcasts so far, and seemingly every episode they produce.

Yeah I get the same issues, btw have you tried playing it in another player?

Back at the time I posted that comment, they did play back okay in other players. It was just BTV that was an issue.
