BTV without a web connection
I will soon be moving to an area that doesnt have internet service. I am assuming that the only drawback to that will be that the guide will not download. I have BTV on my desktop pc. Could I use my laptop to go to a wifi place and get the guide and transfer it to the desktop pc. Would there be any other drawbacks to not being connected I need to consider?

Re: BTV without a web connection
If you can get dialup in your new location, that might be the easiest solution, but guide updates might take an hour or two. Search the forum for "dial" or "XMLTV" to find some posts on alternate means to get guide data. Alternate guide data would probably also require a subscription to Schedules Direct at $20/year.
