Media Center Remote Control

When is SnapSteam oficcially going to support the MCE remote and IR blasters? I understand that StephaneM has developed LM Remote KeyMap to fill this gap, but I find it ridiculous that this needed to come from a 3rd party. These remotes seem to be fairly stndardized and widely distributed with Media Center PCs. It would seem to be in SnapStream's best interest to make the transition from Media Center to BTV as painless as possible. Is this in the works?

Re: Media Center Remote Control

I agree. Coming up with a seamless-built in way to launch BTV and use the IR blaster included with the MCE remote would be a big plus.

I am currently using a third party app (LM Remote KeyMap) to launch BTV and use the MCE IR blaster - it works great - but it would be nice if this functionality was part of the base BTV product.

They could support the remote, but not the blaster. There is an API for the remote (sort of), but none for the blaster (even the IR codes database used in WMC is encrytped...)
