Re: ASUS eee pc

I would be surprised if the Eee PC could handle BTV (or BTV Link), which is a rather heavy-weight application.

Considering I currently run Link fairly smoothly on a 500MHz PII laptop with 128MB, I don't know why it wouldn't run well on a 900MHz system with 1GB.

Re: ASUS eee pc

I have Beyond TV Link running on my 4G Asus EeePC. It runs great and a lot better than expected. I upgraded the RAM to 2 GB and it's running an nLited version of XP.

My BF bought the EeePC specifically so I could install Beyond TV Link on it. I thought the small screen would bug me but it doesn't.

But I would think that it would play back recordings just fine via web admin

Re: ASUS eee pc

The EeePC comes with drivers for XP, so if you have your own copy/license you can install XP on these things. I personally am holding out just a teensy bit more until the model with the larger screen is out, but I plan to get one. I won't be using it for BTV operations though, just for remote browsing/e-mail and some .NET apps of my own creation.

Re: ASUS eee pc

I played with one of these at the store and they rock. It is actually small enough to take the place of a PDA and will be great for meetings/business travel, especially with openoffice and other web/java based apps. I'm going to have my IT department order one on Monday. With XP drivers, it will probably run BTV link, although that would be secondary/more of a WOW than practical
