blank videos on iPod

Ok, I decided to give this iTunes thing a whir and now blank videos on my 5th gen iPod.

Basically I have iTunes on my PC and used the web admin to add the feeds to it. Went through the showsqueeze and let iTunes convert em to iPod video format.

I was finally able to sync the videos but when I play em on the iPod it only shows as white screen.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I am wondering if there is a compatibility issue when using MPEG2 with VBR setting? Does showsqueezing to h.264 take this into account?

Re: blank videos on iPod

I sometimes see similar issues, but I get a black screen. I've seen some correlation between jobs that I request through Viewscape (good) vs jobs requested via the web admin (usually black), but there may have been some through Viewscape that failed. But I don't think I've ever had one through the web admin that worked.

In my case, I have an 80G Video Classic and I use the BTV stock "Best" quality.

Re: blank videos on iPod

Thanks for the heads up. I may have to try different compression settings and see if it makes any difference.
