Can BeyondTV Link Features be Restricted

Is it possible to restrict what can be done from BeyondTV Link?

E.g, I'm contemplating getting BTV Link for my kids computers so they can watch TV or recorded shows on my wife's BTV machine.

I'm concerned though that may accidentally delete recorded shows or even interfere with upcoming recordings she has programmed.

I'm wondering is there is some kind of "read-only" way to run BTV Link?

Derek

As far as I know, it's a heavily requested feature...but no target yet.
I do agree, it would be nice if Link did have parental content lock down. What you could do as an alternative is to record their content to a specific folder and give them access to only that folder to watch from on their computers. This way you don't have to worry about them deleting your files.

You should always review your BTV Log if you have issues.

Can you tell me where I would configure BTV Link to only be able to access a specific folder? I've installed the trial version and I can see all the files on the server.

I've poked around in the settings and in the registry, but nothing jumps out at me as the setting I need to use.
