Using USB Blaster that came with PVR-150...confusing!
I am trying to setup up BeyondTv using the blaster that came with my PVR-150 MCE. However, it is very confusing as apparently there are 2 different blasters that come with this card. One plugs directly into the PCI card. Mine came with a USB receiver/blaster combo. The back says it is made by SMK and is model RXX6000.
Everything I have read refers to the other blaster that I don't have. This model blaster is not an option in the setup for BeyondTV and I tried the others with no luck. Can't I use a standard MCE compatible blaster (which this is supposedly)? NOTE: You can't use the WinTV blaster config software as it doesn't work with this blaster- only the one that plugs directly into the card. |

Re: Using USB Blaster that came with PVR-150...confusing!
You should be using the IR Blaster that plugs directly to the TV tuner card, use Hauppauge's IR blastcfg to configure it. The USB IR blaster is most likely a MCE one, which is not compatible with Beyond TV, but there are work arounds to get it working with third party software, just do a search in the forums
