DTV and non-digital LCD + projector
I'm considering upgrading my PCI capture card to a dual Hauppage card that supports DTV. But I have a couple of questions that may decide whether it's worth it or not.
I have a Dukane 8755 projector hooked up to my video card, which does a pretty good and bright job of projecting the content on my LCD screen, which is VGA (not DVI). What I'm wondering is, would it even be worth it for me to upgrade to an HD tuner card + antenna if my monitor and projector aren't DVI and HD? |

Re: DTV and non-digital LCD + projector
I don't think anyone really knows. I'll take a shot.
If your projector has a resolution higher than a TV, such as 1024x768, then yes, you'll see a much improve picture from HD. If it is 800x600, you might see a small improvement. The big difference is the picture won't be as big. Remember, since it is widescreen, you'll end up with black bars at the top and bottom. It will look great though.
