ffdshow audio decoder
I'm new to Beyond TV, and have been using (and still using) ChrisTV, which is a geekier TV app with a*lot* more technically oriented options. I use the ffdshow audio decoder with ChrisTV and it does a superb job of giving me *TRUE* Dolby Pro Logic for TV viewing. I have three analog tuners, so Dolby 5.1 does me absolutely zero good for TV.
My question is, how do I *hack* BTV's inability to offer me up ffdshow as an alternative audio decoder? I've seen an example that added Cyberlink Media's audio decoder to "CustomSettings.xml". Has anyone successfully added ffdshow's audio decoder to CustomSettings.xml, so you can do *real* Dolby Pro Logic?
I find myself still firing up ChrisTV to watch live TV, because the sound is so much better, and I'm pretty sure a few lines of the correct XML would break me of that habit.
