Upcoming Recordings, whats DELETE and whats PREVENT?

As the topic suggests, what's the difference between DELETE and PREVENT when you're changing the recording?

My goal is to prevent a single episode from recording, not delete the entire series.

Where are you seeing "prevent"? This must be new. I've never seen that.

To prevent just a particular single ep from recording I normally do it from the "upcoming recording" list on my TV and pick "do not record this episode at this time".

Sorry, this is on the web interface. And yes, this is a relatively new feature.

Re: Upcoming Recordings, whats DELETE and whats PREVENT?

Prevent will prevent that specific episode from recording at another time. Essentially it adds it to the recently recorded list. While delete will just remove that instance from the schedule so if it is on again it will attempt to record it at a different time.

That sounds cool. Why only on web interface though?

Same reason why there is a conflict warning and such, because it was added by a third party developer (ccarlin) and not by SnapStream... There is a lot more basic functions that could be added to BTV, just take for example all the features in BTV-Negociator...

The user-friendliness of the GUI would be lost if all the 'web-only' features were in the GUI too. And, it's probably a real PITA to actually do it.
