Where did my remote "download" links go? And how does "play" work?

My roommate likes to grab a bunch of recorded shows from the BTV Web Admin that I record, so he usually just downloads them over the 100 megabit network and plays them locally. However, after upgrading to 4.7.1, the "download" links aren't there any more, only play.

And when he clicks the "play" links, he gets an SSTP or SSHP file or something like that, which we have no idea how to open.

How do I get the download links back, and how do you use the play links? Thanks!

In my experience the download link turns to "play" after you have showsqueezed a program. Download = mpeg, Play = AVI/WMV.

I don't know how you'd enable download for a squeezed program.

nah, it's not showsqueezed. There are both MPEG2 and DivX files in the directory. All of them only have play links, no download links, and they don't work.

Select options and then download

They turned to play links because this question popped up when he went to the recorded shows page and he said ok:

"Would you like to enable 'Play' links that launch Beyond TV Link?"

To undo his selection, have him go to:

Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Video Playback Settings
Scroll to the bottom and set "Beyond TV Link Integration Mode" to disabled. The next time he visits the recorded shows page the download links should be back.

Re: Where did my remote "download" links go? And how does "play" work?

I get a popup that asks me if I would like to enable a link to play in BTV link, but the problem is that as soon as it goes away it pops up again preventing me from navigating my library with the web admin.

When I have the community web admin in my wwwroot directory I get a timeout / server not available when trying to click on the playback settings.
If I change my wwwroot back to snapstream default, I can change my BTV link integration settings. But the problem is that the snapstream default does not stream.

I have tried to change them in the default wwwroot drive then copy those files over to the community web admin and again it times out and I keep getting that popup.

Is there another way to navigate my library without that message popping up.
