BeyondTV setup fails to detect video card

Hi,

I am trying to install BeyondTV on an XP machine with a Happanauge WinTV PCI card that I bought from Snapstream a few (3?) years ago. The driver seems to be installed (it looks ok in device manager anyway), but the Setup Wizard just tells me that there is no video capture device.

I had this working for a while when I first bought the card, but BeyondTV link wasn't working so well then, so I never used it. We have now moved and I would like to make a 4th attempt or so to get BeyondTV working, but their support is very poor. I can't work on a project when I only get a response once a week.

From doing this in the past, I thought there was an app that would tell me for sure what card I have. It is only marked WinTV, but all the drivers that I find on the Hauppauge forum seem to be for other cards, so I don't know how to tell if I have the *right* driver.

On the Hauppauge support page they have a download on the right hand side of the page called prodinfo. That may tell you what card you have.

You can then go here to get the latest supported driver.
