1600 with Dual Cable Inputs

Can I use the BTV software and the hvr-1600 together if I have basic cable that also gets QAM and digital channels? I was hoping that I could put a splitter before the 1600 and use my cable signal for both inputs. I have read that several people are using OTA and cable or OTA and sattelite, but I wanted to use cable on both and it would be fine if one input was analog and the other digital. Both digital for QAM would be better , though.

That's funny, I thought that I read on their site that it is supported by BTV. Maybe they meant ATSC only and not QAM.

I guess it doesnt say QAM in particular.
