Hibernation

Is it true Viewscape must be close for the computer to go into hibernation? Am I missing an option somewhere? All the previous post seem to indicate so.

Also how do I start Viewscape with just the keyboard?

Yes viewscape must be closed to allow hibernation.
You can setup a shortcut to the btv program (BTVD3DShell.exe) on the desktop and then create a keyboard shortcut to it as is explained here:
