Question Never record this particular program.

Is there a way - within the core BTV program itself - to mark a particular title (say one specific episode of a series under which all episodes are otherwise recorded) so that it is never recorded? The only workaround I've used is going into Setup Recordings/Upcoming Recordings/Do Not Record This Episode At This Time; but I have to do so manually and constantly, and it's easy to miss from time to time. I'm looking for a one-time and simple cure all for duplicate recordings. If it doesn't exist, I wonder if others have requested this as a new feature for an upcoming release of BTV.

I did try using an add-on program (mentioned in an earlier thread) to accomplish this task, but I found it difficult to manage. Could easily be user error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Never record this particular program.

There is a way to keep the history by changing it to 0. By doing this you will always have a list and if been recorded before won't record again. I think normally it's set for 30 days or so.

http://localhost:8129/SetupMisc.aspx set Recent Record Days to 0

Re : Never record this particular program.

Increasing the Recent recording list length and adding the episode to it, through "that addon", is basically the way to do it...

Re: Never record this particular program.

The help was very much appreciated.

Pushing beyond my user error isues with regard to the "add-on program," it looks as if BTV Negociator will be extremely helpful in resolving all of the issues I had. After spending just an hour or so working with the program, I think it is going to be well worth an investment of time and money.
