Did I miss the announcement of the release of a version of BeyondTV that does QAM on the HVR-1600?

I suppose it was too much to hope for that the 950 would do QAM as well.

Well Snapstream. Hauppauge says you support QAM in their marketing material. It must be true as we all know that markting materials (and forum comments)never lie.

BTW, my Beyond TV has been getting QAM since version 3.6

I have two 1600's and just use them with an OTA antenna. can Exterminator be used with them now? I have heard of exterminator but don't know anything about it. Also can you watch live tv with it or only record shows?

Well, since apparently Hauppauge's background recorder is not working with clear QAM, you do get LiveTV in WinTV as you record, but that's not BTV's LiveTV...
