Re: Channel logos?

Yea, other software seems to be able to implement that. It would be nice in BTV. I saw a poll that said about 2/3 of everyone thought that QAM was the most important upgrade that they should be working on. Not sure when that will get implemented either. Upgrades seem to be slow these days.

QAM was implemented several months ago with the HDHomeRun Dual QAM Tuner - It works great for my setup.

Channel logos would be nice, but I would put it as pretty low on the list in my opinion though. I'm hoping they implement a new gui and integrate beyond media features before anything like that.

Re: Channel logos?

It's great that you have a HDHR, but you are in the minority. There are quite a few other QAM tuners out there that are not supported. We might be looking at 1 in 10 supported. How about the other 90% ? That was my point.

Understood Brian. All I was trying to say was "QAM is supported" even though it is only with the HDHR.

Based on what I know, there will never be further QAM support from Snapstream unless the tuner maker provides a BDA driver for that tuner. This is what Silicondust did (made a usable Windows bda driver) with the HDHR and the only reason the QAM tuning in the HDHR works with BTV MCE etc.

I should also mention that there are a few QAM tuners that will work with the BTV Negociator add-on that Fonceur developed. Fonceur has said he would work with anyone out there willing to help test in adding other tuners as well. I used the BTV Negociator with the HDHR before the bda driver was available and it works well - but does require more work and patience by the user.
