Trouble initializing Beyond tv 3.5

I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan for one year and just purchased beyond tv 3.5 from an outgoing individual. I've installed the software and went through the setup wizard and got all the channels. The problem is when I double click on the icon to initialize, it pops up briefly and then minimizes into my taskbar on the right bottom corner. When i double click on that icon it still just initializes for a split second and then goes back to the taskbar. Any help would greatly appreciated from this serviceman. Thanks in advance.
