Multiple Video Sources

Please direct me to the correct thread if this is covered elsewhere...

I am using BeyondTV 4.5 and have two video sources defined: one for my satellite tuner and one for my VCR.

Both go through the same tuner card and both work fine. The only change I want to make is for the settings to default to the satellite tuner when I set up a new recording. As it is it is set to "Any Enabled" and that has once or twice caused a problem by trying to record from the VCR rather than from the satellite tuner. The only time I actually want to record from the VCR is when I set up a manual recording anyway...

Is there a setting to hard wire that default?

Thanks in advance...

Re: Multiple Video Sources

Make sure that your satellite source is ranked first in the web admin (http://localhost:8129 Audio/Video input) or in the BTV installation wizard. You could also use different lineups for both, depending on what you record through the VRC...

Re: Multiple Video Sources

If you set up the VCR input with no channels, no recordings should get scheduled on it.

Re: Multiple Video Sources

Thanks for the replies. The satellite tuner IS the first source in the list and there are no channel lineups associated with the VCR. I guess it justed *looked* worrisome...
