No callsign with HDHomerun?

All software and drivers for the HDHomerun is installed. I followed the instructions at http://projecthtpc.wordpress.com/2007/03/26/how-to-record-unencypted-hd-cable-with-beyond-tv-hdhomerun/ to install with BTV. I cd "C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun" then hdhomerun_config FFFFFFFF scan /tuner0 channels.txt. After everything scans, I run the hdhomerun_config_gui.exe, and scan. After awhile, it detects the channels, and displays them. I then shut down the program, and load up the Qam channel mapper. I load the "channels.txt" from the cmd scan that I did, and every field displays except the call signs. Not one. Theyre also not listed in the Qam mapper, nor the channels.txt file. Why? I have the coax going from the wall to the HD homerun, and its RCN digital in the 11378 area code. I'd also like to add that I ignored the no callsign problem, and continued with BTV 4.6.1. After installing the HDhomerun in BTV and after updating the program guide, none of the channels in the program guid is correct. The channels are displayed as 1021, 1020, etc, but none of them are what they supposed to be. For example, 1021 is under ATSC channel 2, WCBSDT. BTV lists that, but some other channel comes up. Any help would be really appreciated.

For that part, the problem is that not every cable providers actually put any meaningfull information in there...

I was at this stage... at one time... You have to make sure your physical, major and minor channels are all in align with your remap file. Here are my files and how I went thought the setup. Look them over and see how it all matches up.. reference the link in your post. I just made my physical and major the same and then the minor all ones. This makes it a lot easier for me to set up.

Creating your custom lineup, select digital cable for your area and then select only the channels you want to add to the guide. Build and save your custom configuration. Note that beause your are aligning the digital cable guide to an ATSC channel, your digital channel number will not show up in the BTV guide, the ATSC channels show up. Notice in the call sign I add the cable channel to the beginning, delete the HD and DT of the end of the call sign and add the station to the end. As you can see in the picture, this makes is real easy to know what station your on. To jump to my hd channels, I usually just punch in 1111, or 1000 and it will jump close enough to scan through.
