Beyond TV/Link instead of BMB

Hi!
My “Beyond Media Basic” is not functioning anymore. The mouse curser disappears when Beyond Media Basic is on and media players are not functioning either. I was thinking to use Beyond TV or Beyond TV Link instead of “Beyond Media Basic”. Is it than possible to use it for controlling pc, like playing movies from pc etc. I am not going to use it for TV purpose. Thank you very much!

You need BMB installed as it is part of the Firefly software.

If you don't want to have BMB installed, you will have to remove the Firefly software and use something else to control your computer such as HIP or Girder.

BTV and BTV Link do not provide any way to control the computer.

Actually, you can try Stephane's free, replacement software in place of BMBasic. It is easier to customize and leaves a much smaller footprint than BMB too.
