cartoons: 720x480@29.97 2-4.5 Mbps vbr
tv shows: 720x480@29.97 4-6.5 Mbps vbr Movies: 720x480@29.97 4.6-9Mbps vbr I don't generally worry about the file sizes per hour but these settings work fairly well for me.
