Search feature is REALLY doggy
I noticed that the "title" search now searches for the word anywhere in the title. It is reall really really really really slow.
I have the all the channels from the dish lineup as well as the local comcast extended cable. Could it be the search algorithm used can't handle a large database like this? Can anyone shed some light on this topic and if there is a way to get the old "title" search feature back. I am running an Athlon 64 3400+, BTV 4.6.1 Thanks - J

Re: Search feature is REALLY doggy
The funny thing is that I remember reading the release notes about 4.6 indicating that the search function has improved, and that got me all excited.
It is nice that it finds the keywords on all the titles, but it not only fails half the time, it is also really slow. - J

Re: Search feature is REALLY doggy
The goal for the new searches is a return in less than a half second. We have identified an issue searching in large lineups which takes it outside this range (or never at all). It will be corrected in a future version.

Re: Search feature is REALLY doggy
Yea, you have a lot more than I do. I avoid the search feature and use snapstream.net for now.
