performance issue BTV v. FusionHDTV

My dilemma is an interesting one. I am running BTV 4.61 Beta and recently purchased a HDHR unit. The setup was easy enough once I got my head around the channel mapping. Well recordings are working great but recently noticed an issue with playback. Playback was jerky and CPU utilization was over 65%. I kept thinking it may be the recording or something with the signal strength or possibly disk fragmentation. So I tried a few things, defrag disk, checked signal strength, etc. Finally I decided to playback the files using the fusion hdtv software and wow, it's working great same files are not jerky and the CPU utilization is low at 33-39%! Is this typical or am I missing something.
Are there any documents out there on how to optimize BTV for HDTV?

Re: performance issue BTV v. FusionHDTV

I had a FusionHDTV5 RT Lite scence 11 of 06 just go bad on me, it took forever to get working, but once it did it was ok. I notice kinda the same deal you are talking about. Recording or even watching btv with the fusion card was imposible, infact it was crashing my pc. It would still crash my pc using the fusion software but it took a lot longer and the playback was better. I don't know what is up , but i tryed all fusion drivers and no good. I ever went back to btv 4.5 and still messed up. So I dumped the fusion and got a wintv HVR-1600 and life is good.

The fusion tuner during use get major hot. atleast mine did.
