Newbie Question: Editing physical channel #

I'm sorry if this is a basic function but can't seem to find the ability to edit a channels "physical #".

Using MCE I was able to edit the Satelite guide so that I was able to "trick" the unit into controlling a FTA receiver instead.

FTA receivers use the same channel numbers except start at 2000 instead of 0000.

So for eg. CSI is on 355 on the guide I actually want it to tune to 2355 using the MCE ir blaster. With MCE it took about an hour to edit the channels but it worked in the end, perfect for schedualling.

The BTV channel edit notes the call sign can't be changed but I see no where to add an "alias" for physical number.

I probably have missed the easy answer somewhere...

Thank you for your time.

Try:

http://www.snapstream.net/configure/...eupWizard.aspx

it works for the HDHomeRun, but not quite sure if it will help you...

Re: Newbie Question: Editing physical channel #

Thank you for your quick reply, I have tried that but will give it another shot.

On the same line of questioning: Using my laptop remote work flawlessly but only lets me enter in 3 digits for channels. I need to enter 4, is this a default setting I missed?

Thank you for your patience.

Use the web admin, edit the video source and change the default digit padding from 3 to 4, that should do it. Probably need to use the show more options to get access to that...
