Run BTV and Guide only

Does anyone know if there is a way I can run BTV and the guide without loading the scheduler, library service, networkService, Recording Engine, Settings Service, etc. Having all of these things loaded really taxes my memory usage. Occasionally, I would like to just watch tv, especially during times when I know I don't have an upcoming recording. I'd still like to be able to flip through the guide as well.

I suppose I could just watch tv on WinTV2k, but then I don't get the great guide data.

not that i know of

however i believe the recording engine is required for livetv as well. as btv is constantly recording while watching livetv so you can timeshift.

Why don't you just buy some memory. It's really cheap these days.
Either that, just bring up the guide on the internet (ie. snapstream.net).
