UPnP support in BTV?

Does anyone know if BTV actually supports UPnP in recent versions? Way back in the day (late 2003?), I know there was some work with Intel to demo this functionality, but I can't seem to find anything about it in the 4.6 version.

I ask because I am looking for a new "media extender" solution at my house. I'm using a MediaMVP with the BTV-MVP interface on it, but it's is slow and unreliable. Sure, it's a neat trick, but it's just not useable on a daily basis. (i.e. the WAF is quite low.) And building a new PC just for this purpose is out of the question (just too expensive and/or noisy for the purpose.)

I contacted SnapStream tech support and they confirmed that UPnP support was removed a few updates ago.

I too would like UPnP AV MediaServer capabilities in BTV.
