What remote to buy?

I am almost finished getting my link box components together. It appears that the harmony would be the way to go get it to turn my TV on and off and control the receiver and such. This is probably a stupid question but I assume you need some kind of card in the PC to interact with the harmony remote. Where do I get that?

The server/main living room box has the Hauppauge remote and works well enough. Again if I were to add a harmony to it I would have to have some kind of interface for it to connect to? Could I use the IR blaster on the PVR 150?

Right now I am looking at 3 types of remotes
Firefly mini---it's only $10 with link
Firefly (full?)-I figure it works if they sell it
Harmony--I don't really care which version I just would like to be able to control it all with one remote.

What do you think? How do I get there? I have read some other posts and they seem to suggest buying streamzap? or something. I guess that is the what goes in the PC?

You are right you will need a IR receiver in order to use the Harmony. I use the receiver from the Firefly mini for my Harmony 550. Which is by far the best all in one remote I have ever owned.

The thing with the firefly remotes are that they only control BTV, So you will need something else for all your other equipment. Also the Firefly (full?) is RF not IR.

Is it easy to use the IR from the mini for a Harmony? I still need to purchase link so I guess the IR receiver would only cost me $10

Yes, a profile already exist for the mini in the logitech software.

A friend of mine has a roommate that has a Harmony. His said the most problematic thing was that when you click watch TV it may not turn all the devices on. Then they are out of sync and you have to turn on the piece of equipment that didn't turn on. Do you have that issue?
