That's more horsepower than I've got and mine runs just fine. Yours should work well.

It depends on what you are doing.

The machine below usually has no problems. Yet, I can make Beyond TV have problems at will.

I would suggest a dual processor CPU.

Just curious... how?

I'm running BTV on far lesser hardware than you list, on a machine that does all sorts of other HTPC related tasks, with no problems at all. Sure, it's not as fast at showsqueezing or other such tasks as a faster machine, but BTV is rock stable.

Re: How well would beyond TV run on this computer?

How about this:

I am currently watching a Showsqueezed movie in Beyond TV.

The audio/video are out of sync. The sync problem was caused by pausing/fast forwarding using Firefly.

If I close the Viewscape, open the viewscape, and restart the movie, sync is restored.

I can cause this problem on 3 different machines (different hardware).

George, you could cause problems on any machine. It's a special talent of yours

Strange. No such problems here. And at any rate, I don't believe that's an issue that would be resolved by a faster processor.

The stats posted by the original poster should make for a great BTV system.
