pad recordings or padding bug

not sure if anyone else is experiencing this as well.

i set my pad recordings at 5 minutes.

example:
cbs - channel 2 - thursday - 8:00pm - 9:00 pm - Survivor
cbs - channel 2 - thursday - 9:00pm - 10:00pm - CSI: Las Vegas
cbs - channel 2 - thursday - 10:00pm - 11:00pm - Shark

the padding will start at 7:55pm for survivor and end at 9:05pm
the padding will start at 9:05pm for csi: las vegas and end at 10:05pm
the padding will start at 10:05pm for shark and end at 11:05pm

these are back to back recordings.. why isn't the padding ignored?
"Beyond TV will ignore this padding when recordings occur back to back."

the biggest problem i have with this is... if you delete any one episode you could lose the first 5 minutes or last 5 minutes of an episode. some shows i keep after watching some shows i delete. you don't realize you're missing those minutes until you watch the beginning of the show or when you get to the end of the show you're like: "oh the ending is on the beginning of another show." but you've already deleted the show.

i do have two tuners.. the 2nd tuner is recording another show on a different channel at the same time.

Re: pad recordings or padding bug

I am running version 4.3 and I have not had your experience with padding. I also have two tuners and frequently record multiple shows back to back. I use 3 minute padding at start and end and have not had any issues.

For shows that start back to back on the same tuner, they start on the hour or at the TV networks scheduled starting time. I have been doing this for about 18months now.

Re: pad recordings or padding bug

I have a standard 1 minute padding, consecutive shows on the same tuner split and ignore padding, otherwise 1 minute early start, 1 minute late ending. I am using 4.6.

Try removing all padding, then make some consecutive recordings. Then add 1 minute padding, then try 5, so if there is a change anywhere.
