Multiple Files for one Recording
I have a bit of a strange problem, or rather a question.
When I set a recording for a show or movie, I always end up with multiple recordings. For example, I set up a recording of Mortal Combat that was on TV today, since I was heading out a bit. When I came back two hours later, I found I had 5 files in total. The first file is 11 minutes, and the rest are 3.75GB. This makes playback a bit annoying. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? The first thought I had was the fact that the drive I am recording on is formatted in FAT32, which only supports up to 4GB file sizes. |

Re: Multiple Files for one Recording
Your first though appears correct.
I guess this was a HD recording. So you format either the existing disk or a new disk to accomodate larger files sizes.

Re: Multiple Files for one Recording
Yes it was an HD recording. I am in the process of deciding if i want to build a new computer or just reconfigure my exsisting one. Either way I am going to format the 250GB drive as NTFS and use it as my main hard drive.

Re: Multiple Files for one Recording
Yes, you are correct. A conversion will not lose the data.
