4.6 bug - unable to change TV Format to PAL in WebAdmin

Just installed 4.6.

When using the Setup Wizard to create a scanned lineup everything works fine...I need to choose PAL for my country. Sound is normal through the Viewscape.

If I then go into WebAdmin and display page for that source, then the TV Format for shows up incorectly as NTSC even though I chose PAL in the originatllyt in the Setup Wizard. If I try and change that by choosing PAL from the dropdown, when I save and go back into the details it has been reset to NTSC again (and garbled sound results)

End result - I cannot modify any source after first creation as it changes the TV format each time.

Please please please can we have a fix (or workaround) for this !

PS - have tried this on Vista, and a freshly installed XP MCE machine...using Haupuage USB PVR2 with very latest drivers.

Yes, I have same problem as you. My BTV Version is 4.6.0 Build 3839

I have this as well. Sure does cause a problem, I hope SS are working on this. I had to go back to a backup image of my hard disk.

The work around is install version 4.5, config everything and then update to version 4.6 again. Afterward don't touch the tuner setting in web admin until fixed version released.

I just took a quick look at the source code and it seems to be a display issue. When you load the page it always selects NTCS_M (the first choice in the list). It does look like it is setting it correctly when you make the change.

Of course I could be wrong since I have no way of knowing whether what is sent by the webadmin to the server is handled properly.

Once when you go into the web admin changed from NTSC_M to PAL-I and save setting, the Live TV and recording will become Black & White and skew. The only way to fix it is back to Version 4.5

I know Snapstream said they were going to concentrate on there core (USA) market but surely not to the point of stopping PAL working correctly.

Are they trying to tell the non-North American users something.

Can somebody from Snapstream comment if this is going to be fixed ?

Rolling back to previous version is'n't feasible for me since I'm now on Vista.

Is there any way to raise an official bug report?
