Idea for Netflix Plugin for BTV (not Beyond Media)
www.hackingnetflix.com tipped me off to an idea by Brandon Whichard to make a mashup using Yahoo Pipes that tells your DVR (for us BTV) to record anything that you're was in your Netflix queue and record it automatically. You would obviously still need Netflix for those shows that werent brodcast, but it could trim down your que over time as it looks for shows to record - possibly every time a guide update happens.'

Well, you could always manually enter that list in BTV-Negociator's and use the auto-search/auto-record options... If someone wants to provide the C# code to querry the Netflix queue, it shouldn't be too hard to add a sub-tab for that...

WARNING - this is truly hypothetical and not possible today since the BTV UI does not accept changes to the UI via plugins and such and integration has been abandoned for now:
Imagine the possibilities if BTV were open to plugins - much like Beyond Media is. We could have a Netflix plugin that could track your netflix que, history and top rentals as well as manage that que and watch previews. Then you could also view complete streamed movies from Netflix on your TV from those that are available on the Netflix site. Plus you could have BTV watch for movies that are broadcast that are in your netflix que. All of this from one menu, one program with no need for a separate BTV and/or BM That my friends is just one example of why we need SS to make BTV a true HTPC and take it BEYOND tv. Okay, dreaming is over for the day. I'm still excited about the possiblity of Fonceur adding the "auto-add" to que to his BTV Negociator plugin. It would be a very nice addition. I know I could add the movies manually, but that wouldn't be fun now would it

Ok, go try the first test version (thanks to cncb) at:

That was freakin fast guys. I guess I'll have to reinstate my Netflix membership a little sooner than I thought  I've been on the Blockbuster.com thing for two months, but they've slowed down delivery times so its time to switch anyway. Ok, try the new version, this one will actually perform the searches after getting the list of titles from the NetFlix queue... If this works, we can see about making the process automatic and such...

Ok, the BlockBuster version is available too.
Any other requests along those lines? I was thinking of doing something similar with the Internet Movie DataBase (IMDb) RSS feeds, but it seems to be limited to news, who died/was born on this date, and things like that...
