Good work on ver v4.6
I skipped the upgrade to 4.5 because of the problems I heard about. I just installed 4.6 however and it is very nice. Smartchapter is WAY faster and the burning plugin rocks.
Take your programmers out for steaks or something. |

Re: Good work on ver v4.6
I agree. I am an application developer and not only is BTV an awesome TV recording application but the design methodology at Snapstream rocks. I have implemented a two-tier service model with BTV. I have BTV with 3 PVR-150's running on my server box and I use client on the other machines to access content. That way high CPU tasks can be done without me noticing the performance hit on the client computer. I just upgraded my setup to 4.6 this weekend.

Re: Good work on ver v4.6
DVD plug-in finnally works with Divx so I'm really happy about that. Plus the Divx streaming via the Web Admin is very nice. Good work!
If you guys could add automatic recordings based on search criteria, I'd have nothing left to complain about. ![]() thanks, good work.

Re: Good work on ver v4.6
I was really impressed with 4.6 as well, until I tried to use some of my recordings outside of BTV. From the changelog:
Quote:
Edit: My 4.6 problem has been solved with a registry edit suggested by Snapstream support. Bad that it happened in the first place, but good that it can be reverted so easily.

Re: Good work on ver v4.6
4.6 is a nice release. It's been stable all through the betas. I also use the client <> server model which works flawlessly.

Re: Good work on ver v4.6
Agreed. I think this version just feels more solid than 4.5 and it is the best overall release on arrival since 4.3
Good work SS and Beta Testers!
