Motorola DCT2224 Serial with Insight Cable

Does anyone have the serial method of controlling the Motorola DCT2224 Cable box for insight cable working? If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful for the help. If I cannot get it working then I will spend the money for a IR blaster.
