Question Program Conflict Due to Network Scheduling

ABC is playing silly games by adding a minute or two to some programs so that recorders will sense an overlap and not record a program on a competing channel (e.g.: if the ABC program runs from 9:00 PM to 10:01 PM, then Beyond TV cannot record ANY show that begins at 10:00 PM; it can only record the subsequent show on ABC, which begins at 10:01 PM).

Is there a way for Beyond TV to start recording on another channel after the overlap has passed? e.g.: If I've programmed a show to record at 10:00 PM on CBS, it would start that recording at 10:01 PM immediately after the ABC show is done.

I understand that TIVO might now have this feature. It sounds worthwhile, and might actually stop networks like ABC from playing these silly games.

Re: Program Conflict Due to Network Scheduling

Edit the recording properties to advance the start time or retard an end time to eliminate overlaps.

Re: Program Conflict Due to Network Scheduling

It is a royal pain. They're all doing it on purpose too.

That's why I have WAY too many tuners
