ShowSqueeze failures

Hi,

I've had BTV working just fine for a while now - at some point this week I lost the ability to ShowSqueeze to DivX when stupid Windows Update installed WMP11 somehow. I'm well aware of the issues with BTV and WMP11, and I promptly uninstalled it and the other entry that was there (codec pack or whatever it is). ShowSqueeze still doesn't work now even after fully uninstalling and reinstalling BTV 4.5 - it goes through the process, I can see the new file being created in the folder, the progress bar moves in the Web Admin etc, but then as soon as it finishes, it goes red and says failed with an "Error: Cleanup failed to rename the temp file" message. This is happening to every show that gets recorded now.

It's also going to a "Waiting" message right after the SmartSkip job finishes and it won't start running the DivX recompressor until I manually press start in the WebAdmin...

What the heck caused this and how do I fix it?

I too am having some showsqueeze issues but have restored some functionality by creating a new video folder. I don't understand why, but it got most of my showsqueeze running again. I have a sneaking suspicion this has somehitng to do with file attribute management inside of BTV.

I fixed it - it was because of recurse subdirectories being on in the Web Admin options for my TV folder. I'd created an Archive folder within there and turned that on. It was just coincidental that I'd done that right before WMP11 got installed, so I don't think WMP11 had anything to do with it.
