Feature requests

I would like to see these features added in future releases of BTV:

* Click to see program details in Upcoming Recordings. Better yet, show program details when you mouse over the name of the scheduled recording.

* Option to delete a scheduled recording for good and not just move it to a later date.

* Extract HD Channel from .tp either during recording or as an option in post recording processing.

* Make "Setup Recordings" in home page jump to "Upcoming Recordings" rather than "Recording Manager". For me the former page is used far more frequently than the latter.

* In Program Guide, filter program by "HD only" for digital lineups.

* Option to not use the time-shifting feature by specifying a 0 size buffer. This would minimize unnecessary disk activities when watching live TV.

Extract HD Channel from .tp either during recording or as an option in post recording processing.

It's called StreamSnip and is already there.

I personally LOATHE mouse-over effects so I would not be happy with this.

It is already at the bottom of the screen...

It is called "Do not record any episode"...

As said, that's SnipStream...

Both are at the same level, it doesn't jump to any...

EDIT: I guess you meant the web admin part for some of those, rather than the viewscape...

Re: Feature requests

You can go directly to the Upcoming Recordings View by creating a shortcut with the url:

http://myMachine:8129/SetupRecordings.aspx?display=ur

Where myMachine is either localhost (if you are on the machine) or your machine/ip address if you are remote.

Re: Feature requests

I would like the ability to set both the start and ending times for recordings to the minute not the 15 minutes.

(In webadmin the record now would be more useful if the starting time could be set also.)

Re: Feature requests

Well if we are just asking for features....
It would be great if the online guide could show what you've slated to record. I figure if I'm doing the advanced settings where it reports back what I'm recording, then it could be possible. Granted I'm not sure if your servers would be ready to do such thing, but would be great for a 5.0 or 6.0 release.

The other thing was mentioned. It would be great if the Today page did show details of the recording.

And last, it would be totally awesome if you could sort by episode number. So if I record a new show and they are recorded out of order, it would still show in order.

And yes, I do use Fonceur's app (totally cool) but not it's not really useable for scheduling recordings on the road.

Re: Feature requests

I changed the today page (for the community build) to include the full description of the episode in both the upcoming recordings and the conflicted recordings.

Re: Feature requests

Okay, then you would be the perfect person to ask. I'm also interested in showing in an RSS/ATOM the upcoming recordings.
