Image flickers after using SmartSkip

Hey guys,

Problem here - I've noticed since buying BTV the other day that every single time I skip a block of commercials by hitting the up arrow, when the video starts back up again, it's suddenly flickering rather badly. (The effect is similar to what a 3D game looks like if you disable Vsync with a high framerate, aka "tearing"). I have to close down the BTV ViewScape and restart it, select the show again and then when it picks back up, everything's fine. If I move the timeline slider manually with the mouse the same thing happens too.

This is seriously annoying, anyone know what's causing this?

My capture card is an ATI 650 Pro and my vid card is a GeForce 7800GTX. Using the payware Nvidia PureVideo decoder too...

Same thing happen with the Snapstream decoder? I found that the nvidia driver sometimes gets out of sync in BTV as you describe. I use the nvidia driver for watching DVDs but have conceded that the snapstream codec just works better in BTV and looks almost as good.

I had these types of issues too. I noticed that when using overlay in BTV, that the nvidia driver thought that it was using the VMR7 Renderer (not the VMR9). I raised a ticket on this issue and was told that it was bugged internally, but I have not seen any improvements in that area. I attributed the sudden jumpy behaviour on this renderer problem... of course, it might not be related.
