Is it possible to control my DCT700 with the PVR150 remote and Hauppauge Blaster?

Hello,

I'm running BTV4 and when I went to set up my external digital cable box (Motorola DCT700) it said to use the Hauppauge Blaster config to configure the remote. I'm pretty sure the DCT700 isn't supported with the Hauppauge IR Blaster however I wanted to see if anyone has gotten this configuration to work.

I just managed to get that working. I have a PVR 150 with Hauppauge IRBlaster. I use Firefly as a remote but that should be irrelevant.

I hooked up the IRBlaster to the Motorola box (the IR sensor is on the front of the box, right side). I downloaded and installed the latest software for the IRBlaster (v 1.3) from Hauppauge web site (http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/suppo...t_pvr150.html). The DCT700 is not the list of supported boxes but a couple entries are marked just "Motorola". One of them worked for me "out of the box" (try the test buttons and the LED on your cable box should flash)

If you still have problems setting up your box, let me know and I will send you my exact settings.

I also just recived this box from Comcast (right after I got BTV setup). I played around with the new drivers you referenced, and used those generic Moto settings to no avail.

Do you have any other tips?

i have a dct700 from comcast. i can get the blaster to work using the wintv app, but it won't work in beyond tv. the light blinks, but nothing happens. any ideas??
