HELP!! BTV LibraryServices killing me

BTV LibraryServices is sucking CPU cycles (routinely consumes 94-97% of CPU resources) and is slowing the entire BTV system down. I can't even change channels! And everytime I try to delete the service, BTV kindly restarts it for me.

I did a search and came up blank (but I was impatient, I know. I'll drill down deeper after I post this).

Any help is good. Otherwise it's back to ver 3.x

Sys Specs:

BTV ver 4.4
Hauppauge 250 card
Win XP Pro
ATI 9500 pro 128 card
Athlon 2700 proc
1 gig 2700 RAM

Re: HELP!! BTV LibraryServices killing me

I won't be much help but I am pretty sure this problem has cropped up for others and there was a solution proposed for it. Unfortunately, I can't find it right now. I think it had something to do with deleting an XML file (LibraryFolders.xml?) and letting BTV re-build the file. All I can say is don't despair...

[Moments later...]

Search the forums for "LibraryFolders.xml" and maybe try this:

BTVLibrarySerivce on the fritz

Re: HELP!! BTV LibraryServices killing me

do you have anything else running that may be causing it to slow? have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall (pain in the a__) but most of the time fixes problems.
