Help for a newbie...
Hello,
I have been reading up on this product and I am slightly confused on how it works and what I need. Hopefully someone can help me out. I live in NJ and I have a digital cable box. Now if I want to record in HDTV, what do I need to purchase from Beyond TV to do so? There are many options on the site and I am not sure which one is correct. I also plan on building a new PC, with either Windows XP or Media Center. Which one is better for this product? Also, do I need additional hardware (like say a TV turner card?) to get this to work? If anyone could help me it would be great. Thanks in advance

First, BTV can only record over the air HDTV, not from your cable box. You will need to have at least 1 tuner card, but you'll very quickly want more than one. Most people have gone with hauppage cards for SD TV, but there is a wide range of HD cards that BTV supports.
