No video or sound on live Tv

After using a registry cleanup program,I find myself unable to receive picture or sound when I go to live Tv. The normal Channel jump, audio adjuster etc are there.The funny part is that in the wizard everything works fine.The recorded Tv shows won't play and appear as corrupted files, yet when I use Link on my Laptop everthing works fine. The Tv works as well as the recorded programs.I also am able to watch Tv on Windvd or any other program available to me on my computer.I have a Plextor external tuner/capture card and am running the latest vers of Beyond Tv before 4.0. I have tried restoring my computer but for some reason the restore program only goes back about a week. I also might have turned off some of the startup lines in the registry program. If I go to my backups on the external Hard drive & restore just the system would that possibly work? I really hate to format and restore older backup unless I have to.

Have you tried just reinstalling BTV on top of itself?
