HD/SD Question

For those of you with HD in your rig:

Is it possible to convince BTV to record both an HD recording and its SD counterpart on another channel automatically? E.g. if I'm recording LOST on an HD channel and I also have a job set up to record it in SD from the local affiliate, will BTV think they are the same show and disable one of them by default, thereby grabbing only one?

I realize it's possible to 'force' BTV to record both by selecting them manually, I just wasn't sure if BTV would recognize them as different programs or as the same and automatically disable the lower priority job.

I ask because I have one machine which appears to be able to play nice with HD and other that struggles with bandwidth.

Make sense? Thanks!

Re: HD/SD Question

BTV treats them as separate programs, so you should be able to do this.

When they went from 3.x to 4.0, they fixed a bug to allow such a case. Which lead to many threads of complaints from people like me that had setup the same recording on multiple channels to work around BTV's defficient conflict resolution, as we were now getting duplicates. But since version 4.2 introduced the "record on any channel", both types of users are happy now.
