Manual Recording issues

I am confused about Manual Recordings. Why does it only allow for 15 minute increments?

Here is an example: My wife was mad because her Gilmore Girls recordings were ending too soon because I set The Unit to record directly after it. Even with Gilmore at a higher priority, BTV was switching to the Unit before Gilmore was over.

So I set up a manual recording for The Unit but can only choose 8:15pm. I want to choose 8:02pm.

Can anyone tell me why it is only 15 minute increments? It doesn't make sense to me.

If you use web admin to set up the recording, you can get more granular (to the minute)

I hate that some settings are only available in web admin. Very frustrating that is.
