I thought BTV required BDA drivers

Fusion talks about their HD/Qam drivers are BDA drivers. I thought that was the hangup for BTV supporting QAM. If they are BDA drivers, why doesn't BTV work?

BDA and WDM are driver architectures. Most applications, including Beyond TV and MCE use BDA for digital tuning. So for Beyond TV to support QAM, we need a tuner card that supports QAM in BDA.

The Fusion card currently only supports QAM through their WDM drivers. It’s somewhat a proprietary solution that’s why they can support it in their software. It is not based on a standard model so it would be difficult for a third part application to add support.
while they do have bda drivers those drivers don't support qam

as far as I know, there no QAM BDA driver anywhere for any card.

God knows why they aren't making one. The first card to support that would be a hot item.

FYI - it's always good to let Fusion know you want BDA/QAM support

Just an additional note.

When you run BTV Setup, it calls the tuner:

Bluebird, BDA Tuner

So what gives!

OK, I'm in antenna mode.
