Upgraded from BTV 3.7.4 to 4.2 - ADSTech Tuner No Longer Recognized

I was running the trial version of BTV SE 3.7.4. My trial was getting close to running out so I thought I would upgrade to 4.2. I followed the link, downloaded and installed 4.2.

When I try to run Live TV, I get the following error message: Beyond TV could not find the video capture device "ADS Instant DVD". If this is an external capture device, please ensure that it is connected to the system and receiving power. If you have recently updated any related drivers, you may need to rerun the Setup Wizard to correctly reconfigure the system. I ran the setup wizard with no errors indicated and continued to receive this error message.

I read in another post to remove the tuner through Web Admin and reload it. I was not able to readd the tuner - it is not recognized. I get this error when trying to run Live TV: There are no sources available on which to view Live TV. Please run the setup wizard. When I run the wizard, no tuner is found.


So, 4.2 no longer recognizes the ADSTech tuner. This is a supported device.


I uninstalled 4.2 and reinstalled 3.7.4 and it indicates my trial is expired (I had 16 days left).


Can anyone help? What are my options - I have no 4.1 to go back to, as the person in another forum had.

When using an older version, 4.0 vs 4.2, the ADSTech Instant TV Delx does work. I was able to install 4.0 and get the tuner back up and running. Apparently this has been reported as a bug with 4.2. No solution as of yet.

I'm having sort of the same problem. I am running and an ATI 9600 on an XP machine. I upgraded to the latest version of Beyond TV and now I cannot view live tv and I'm asked to run the setup wizard.

When I run the setup wizard I recevie the following Warning:

CAPTURE DEVICE
Warning!
Failed to detect a video capture device! Either no device is installed or the driver is not installed properly.

You can still use Beyond TV to watch your exisiting files, but you will not be able to record any shows.

This was all working before I upgraded and now I get nothing. The card is installed, it was working previous to the upgrade, and now I'm at a loss.

Does anyone know whats happneing here and are there any suggestions on how to correct the problem?

I just went from v3.5 to v4.4 and had to reload all of my capture drivers and I am using PVR250s. Dunno why but now it works fine.
